JPMorgan Agrees to Independent Audit of Racial Equity Commitments

JPMorgan Chase has committed to a third-party audit of its $30 billion project to boost racial equity, following similar undertakings made by Citigroup and BlackRock, reports Bloomberg.The bank – the biggest in the U.S. – will appoint a company to perform the audit and publish the findings by the end of the year, according to a statement last Thursday.

SOC Investment Group, a JPMorgan shareholder, had submitted a proposal, which it has agreed to withdraw now that its objective will be met.
